Leadership Styles

Every once in a while, a graphic shows up from somewhere on the net that is the perfect summary of a topic.  This picture of leadership styles in one of those.  As with all good models, it is a matrix, for example, if you have or want a leader with high individual authority but a team that has low autonomy you will get a very controlling environment.  Conversely, if you need something done in a very participative manner, as you believe the results will be better with that style, then maybe a team with high autonomy and a leader with very low authority.  Something to consider.

This picture and others can be found on the website for a leadership services business  based in Australia, Australian Leadership Foundation.
